Peak Pobeda (7345 m)

Peak Pobeda, just 20 km south of Khan Tengri, is one of the world's most difficult 7000 m summits and it rises above the Zvyozdochka Glacier, a tributary of the South Inylchek. Pobeda's best time is from the 25th of July until the 25th of August. The mountain is covered by huge masses of ice and snow and very strong winds challenge mountaineers with blizzards even in good weather!
The ascent is often compared with that of Himalayan peaks. The usual route follows the relatively safe central slope from the Dikky Pass over Pobeda West. "Asia Mountains" offers this "western version".

Peak Pobeda and Inylchek glacier

15 km approach from base camp (the same as for Khan Tengri) along the Zvyozdochka Glacier, then up the ice fall to Dikky Pass (5200 m). Climb the north ridge of Pobeda West (6918 m) and traverse to the summit along the 4 kilometre long west ridge at an altitude of 7000m! Descend by the same line. Weather and conditions on the mountains may prevent summit success.

Details of the ascent tactics can be changed according to the participants experience and the conditions on the mountains. Other routes may be possible after preliminary agreement. Services and Conditions: as for Khan Tengri.

The "Tien-Shan Snow Leopard" (Pobeda & Khan Tengri) can also be offered at slightly higher cost and longer duration than Pobeda. Details by request.
